STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that:

1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God.  (Hebrews 4:12)

2. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 3:21-22)

3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life. He was crucified for our sins. He rose from the grave. He ascended into Heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again in glory to judge both the living and the dead.  His kingdom will have no end.   (The Gospels:  Matthew, Mark, Luke & John)

4. The Holy Spirit cleanses the believer from all sins and is living within us enabling the believer to live the Christian life.  (John 7:38-39, John 14:26)

5. Our faith in and a relationship with Jesus Christ are the most important things in our Christian life.   (John 8:12, John 14:6)

6. A relationship with Christ comes only through God’s grace, not by man’s efforts and must be received by repentance.   (Ephesians 2: 8-9, 2 Cor. 12: 9, Galatians 2:16)

7. God hears us when we pray.  (Ephesians 6:18, Mark 11:24.)

8. God ordained marriage at creation, to be between one man and one woman and the two will become one flesh.  (Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-7, Ephesians 5:31)
